wp_update_plugin( $plugin,  $feedback = '' )

This was once used to kick-off the Plugin Updater.

Description

Deprecated in favor of instantating a Plugin_Upgrader instance directly, and calling the ‘upgrade’ method. Unused since WP-2.8.0.
